The RP20 Valve is the first ever, fully programmable Tube Guitar Preamp/Multi-effects floor processor for studio or live applications. It was designed to provide you with great Valve preamp tones and lush digital effects at your feet and finger-tips. This is achieved by having easy-access parameter controls directly in front of the user, providing instant control over principle aspects of their sound. The digital effects of the RP20 Valve can be moved around within configurations, giving the RP20 Valve the best combination of flexibility and ease of use. A unique feature in this product is its Dual distortion paths. The RP20 Valve has the ability to run Tube and Solid State Distortions in parallel. They can even be panned hard Left/Right to produce mammoth guitar sounds. These dual paths also allow very smooth morphing from Clean to Distorted tones. The S-DISC II offers a seemingly endless menu of pristine digital effects, that can provide the user with almost any effect imaginable. The RP-20 Valve is the only Tube preamp/Multi-effects floor processor of its kind. Also featured a custom LCD display along with button illumination.
If you died and went to guitar heaven, you might wake up at something that closely resembles a performance of the G3 Tour. Conceived by guitar god Joe Satriani and his manager Mick Brigden as a celebration of guitar, G3 has successfully drawn fans of virtuosic guitar chops since 1996. And it’s given Joe and longtime friend, Steve Vai, a chance to travel and perform together, further solidifying the bonds that have propelled them to the top of the guitar-playing pinnacle.
But let’s take a step back. As a student of guitar, young Steve Vai found inspiration from his instructor, Joe Satriani. Later, Vai moved west and achieved stardom as the main axeman behind the legendary Frank Zappa. It was Vai who tirelessly evangelized the talents of Satriani until Joe landed a record deal and exceeded all expectations with his 1987 multi-platinum debut album, Surfing With the Alien. The rest, as they say, is history.
Fast-forward fifteen years to the most recent G3 Tour, a guitar-fest featuring Vai, Satriani and Dream Theater guitarist, John Petrucci. As the most recent entrant into the guitar-centric G3 extravaganza, Petrucci considers himself privileged to be included. As he recently put it, “I was totally honored that they asked me to do it, although at the time I didn’t consider myself a solo artist. The music that I wrote and developed to perform on the G3 tour inspired me to work on my own solo album. In fact, I’ll be using a lot of that material for that project.”
We recently caught up with all three of these giants as they got ready for some G3 dates in Mexico City. Steve, Joe and John all are fans of the Pandora PX4 Personal Effects Processor, and have been using previous Pandora models for years. “I use the PX4 all the time now,” Joe confided. “It’s great back stage, on the tour bus, and even in the studio when I need to quickly check out ideas, practice, write or just play around.”
Steve wouldn’t be caught without one. As he put it, “I use the Pandora on tour on a daily basis. It serves as my warm up rig among other things. On my last tour when I recorded the Live CD, I used the Pandora for demos and many times while I record in the studio I put my guitar through it.”
John concurs, “Basically wherever I am, whether it’s the airport or backstage warming up or in my hotel room, I just plug a pair of headphones and a cable into the PX4. I use it to practice the difficult riffs I might be playing that night. I also use the rhythm feature that has the different drum patterns and bass patterns to jam and warm up and sometimes to entertain the other guys,” he laughs. “It’s my traveling practicing companion.”
The boys also have found the compact PXR4 Digital Recorder to be indispensable. Steve has even created a new song entirely with the PXR4, entitled “Feathers.” “All guitars were done through the PXR4 and I used my TRITON on the keys,” he explained. As one might guess, all three of these musicians are already embroiled in other new projects. “Dream Theater will be heavily on tour in support of our new album, Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence. Steve Vai recently released the first 3 CDs of his 10-CD boxed set entitled, The Secret Jewel Box, with all of the rare and essential Vai recordings that do not appear on his solo records. The remaining 7 will be released over the next two years. As he puts it, “This box is a very artsy labor of love. I am bringing a musical fantasy of mine to fruition with this collection.”
And in a completely different direction, Steve will be performing in Tokyo in July as featured performer at the world premiere of composer Ichiro Nodaira's Fire Strings, a concerto for electric guitar and 100-piece orchestra! Asteroid yang paling besar akan mendekati bumi sekitar 19 tahun lagi mendatang ,akan terjadi pendekatan yang terdekat nya pada hari Selasa, terdapat spekulasi jarak terdekat sekitar 1.4 kali jarak terhadap Bulan. radar yang pertama melakukan pengamatan atas kumpulan batu tersebut mengungkapkan mungkin sudah membentuk dua asteroid yang jatuh bersama-sama dan akan menancap di bumi.
Nama Asteroid itu adalah 2007 TU24, yang telah ditemukan oleh the Catalina Sky Survey di Arizona, AS, pada tanggal 11 Oktober 2007. yang didasarkan pada Kecerahan yang terlihat, ahli falak yang diperkirakan seluas 150 dan 600 meter , tetapi itu semua masih terlalu jauh sekali untuk di teropong bintang untuk menentukan ukuran nyata dan bentuknya .
Bagaimanapun, pada hari Rabu, asteroid itu cukup dekat ke bumi ,sekitar 11 kali Jarak bulan. selama Lima jam dari pengamatan nasa menggunakan Goldstone teleskop radio NASA di California, AS, mengungkapkan bahwa asteroid seluas 250 meter.
